THE SMEs CONFERENCE & EXPO KICC 2025

THEME: Empowering SMEs to Innovate for Resilience.

The Nation Media Group spearheaded this year's SMEs Expo & Conference at the KICC Courtyard from 26th to 28th March 2025. 
The Conference saw different panels and speakers with diverse knowledge on the SME sector. The event was presided over by none other than H.E. FCPA Wycliffe A. Oparanya, Cabinet Secretary, Cooperatives and MSMEs Development, who in his remarks reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to ensure SMEs are well funded, incubated, and educated for growth.

Ag. CEO Madam Elizabeth N. Nkukuu took part in the panel discussion on access to Affordable Credit, where she stressed that individuals should start a business to excel, since everyone has the opportunity. However, failure to know why you need the loan has led to borrowers defaulting on the facility. "The Hustler Fund's core mandate is to offer accessible credit to people at the bottom of the economic pyramid at a single-digit interest, which is the lowest in the market". Ag. The CEO stressed.

In her conclusion remarks She applauded the exemplary borrowers with a good credit score for that gives them opportunity to increased limits which is a tunnel to mainstream financial institutions for higher loans.

The Ag. CEO Madam Elizabeth N. Nkukuu, CFA was awarded a recognition award for her unwavering support towards the SMEs.
